Founders Visit Vesta Construction Marketing’s New Headquarters in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada — Vesta Construction Marketing, the only digital communications firm built specifically for the heavy construction and energy industries, welcomed founders Tom and Jolie McShane to its new headquarters this week. The visit marks a milestone in Vesta’s growth—from a small Baltimore startup to a nationally trusted marketing partner now led by President Sara Volk.
A Founding Vision Rooted in Construction Expertise and Military Support
Vesta began more than a decade ago as a boutique firm focused on website design and safety-driven communications for construction companies.
Even in its earliest days, Jolie recognized a dual need: clients required marketers who truly understood construction, and military spouses needed flexible, meaningful work while stationed around the world.
“Because our children are in the military, Tom and I always understood the challenges military families face,” Jolie said. “Finding a job overseas is almost impossible. Vesta became our way to help.”
That commitment remains central to Vesta today. Most subcontractors are military spouses—writers, designers, and digital specialists—working from wherever the military sends them: Kansas, Maryland, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and beyond.

As technical writer Mariah Covington once said, “It’s fun working with people in the construction and utilities industries. They’re salt of the earth people. They keep the country running.”
A New Headquarters and New Leadership
With Vesta entering its second decade, ownership transitioned to long-time team member Sara Volk, who now serves as President. A military spouse and former Vesta writer, Sara has helped modernize and expand the company’s services.
The new Las Vegas headquarters—just outside Nellis Air Force Base, where her husband serves as an F-16 pilot—symbolizes Vesta’s continued commitment to supporting both the construction sector and the military community.
“Our customers depend on consistency and a team that understands their world,” Sara said. “Vesta’s growth comes from the foundation Jolie built. We’re honored to continue that mission.”
Jolie noted that Vesta’s construction clients have always supported the company’s military-spouse workforce, even accommodating international time zones. “Military spouses understand safety,” she said. “They’re surrounded by a culture where safety is everything. That translates perfectly to construction communications.”

Looking Ahead
With Sara Volk leading and the McShanes continuing to support business development, Vesta is well positioned for its next chapter—advancing construction marketing while continuing its mission of supporting military families and the industry that builds America.
